Autumn Pork Chops With Squash (Crockpot) Recipe

  1. Trim fat from edges of chops.
  2. Cut squash into 6 crosswise slices.
  3. Arrange 3 chops on bottom of slow cooker.
  4. Top with the squash slices; add in remaining 3 chops.
  5. In a small bowl, combine salt, butter or possibly margarine, brown sugar, browning sauce, nutmeg, orange juice, and orange peel.
  6. Spoon mix over chops.
  7. Cover and cook on Low 5 to 5 1/2 hrs or possibly till pork chops are tender.
  8. Serve a slice of squash along with each pork chop.
  9. NOTES : serves 6
