Upside-Down Pizza
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage or ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper or mushroom (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 8 oz. sliced cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. flour
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
- Heat oven to 425u0b0.
- Cook and stir meat and onions in skillet until meat is brown and onions are tender.
- Drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce, green pepper, 2 tablespoons flour, the basil and oregano. Heat to boiling.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Pour into ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Arrange cheese on top.
- Beat eggs, milk, oil, 1 cup flour and salt until smooth.
- Pour over cheese.
- Bake until puffy and golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
