London Broil with Balsamic Sauce
- 3 pounds London Broil
- 1/4 teaspoons Kosher Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Pepper
- 13 cups Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 clove Garlic Minced Or Powder
- 1 whole Bay Leaf
- Preheat your broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Salt and pepper the meat.
- Using a large skillet over low heat, mix the vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and the bay leaf.
- Simmer this until the liquid has reduced by half and is a syrupy, about 5 minutes.
- Discard the bay leaf.
- Place your london broil on the baking sheet and cover it with the glaze.
- Broil the meat 4 inches from the heat about 4 to 5 minutes per side, longer for more done meat.
- Place meat on a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice the meat against the grain in thin slices and serve.
- Tip: Mom always cracked the oven door open when using the broiler so the meat doesnt burn.
