Butter Sponge Cake Recipe
- 1 c. Sifted cake flour
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 6 x Egg yolks
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- Sift together flour and baking pwdr.
- Heat lowfat milk and butter until butter melts; keep warm.
- Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored; gradually add in sugar, beating constantly.
- Add in vanilla.
- Add in flour mix; stir just until mixed.
- Gently stir in the warm lowfat milk mix.
- Bake in greased and floured 9x9x2-inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 min.
- Do not invert; cold in pan.
