Best-Ever Cookies
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. margarine (soft)
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. corn flakes, crushed
- 1/2 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. regular oatmeal (uncooked)
- 1/4 c. pecans
- Combine sugar, brown sugar, margarine, oil, egg and vanilla in a large mixing bowl; mix well.
- Combine flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar; add to creamed mixture, mixing until well blended.
- Stir in cereal, coconut, oatmeal and nuts.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Place on greased cookie sheet 1 inch apart; flatten with fork.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Yields 5 1/2 dozen.
