Marshmallow Apple Pie
- 6-7 each apples tart
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 12 each marshmallows
- Line a pie pan with plain pastry.
- Fill with pared and sliced apples.
- Combine sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
- Sprinkle over apples.
- Dot with butter.
- Bake in hot oven (425 F) until crust is brown and the apples tender.
- Remove from oven.
- Cover the apples with halved marshmallows.
- Brown in slow oven (325 F).
- Serve warm.
