Italian Gocci Di Cioccolata
- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 13 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup sugar granulated
- 1 each eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
- Sift first 8 dry ingredients together.
- Cream shortening, sugar and egg together on medium speed Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk, mixing just until batter is smooth.
- Drop dough by rounded spoonful onto greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350F (180C) F (180C) for 9 to 12 minutes, or until set.
- Remove to rack, cool completely.
- Glaze.
