Bison Burger with Apple-Dijon Mayonnaise, Sauteed Mushrooms & Havarti Cheese

  1. Apple-Dijon Mayonnaise: Mix ingredients until blended.
  2. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Herb Butter: Mix ingredients until blended.
  4. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  5. Sauteed Mushrooms: Saute mushrooms, bacon and onions in skillet 20 min.
  6. (or saute 5 min.
  7. for trlal recipe) or until bacon is crisp and vegetables are golden brown.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  9. For each serving: Cook 1 meat pattty on oiled grill on medium-high heat 5 to 8 min.
  10. on each side or until done (165 degrees F/74 degrees C).
  11. Top with 1 cheese slice; set aside.
  12. Cook 1/3 cup (75 mL) Sauteed Mushrooms and 1 Tbsp.
  13. (15 mL) wine in small skillet on medium-high heat 1 min.
  14. or mushroom mixture is heated through and liquid is cooked off.
  15. Spread 1 Tbsp.
  16. (15 mL) Apple-Dijon Mayonnaise onto bottom half of bun; cover with 1 lettuce leaf, 1 tomato slice, cheeseburger and mushroom mixture.
  17. Spread 1/2 Tbsp.
  18. (7 mL) Herb Butter onto top half of bun.
  19. Add to sandwich.
  20. Secure with skewer.
