Steamed Asparagus with Tangerines

  1. In a large skillet over high heat, bring 1 inch salted water to a boil.
  2. Add asparagus in a single layer.
  3. Return to boil, cover, and steam until crisp-tender, 3 to 6 minutes.
  4. Using a slotted spoon, transfer to a shallow bowl or platter.
  5. Scatter tangerines over asparagus and pour reserved juice on top.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
