Frosty Pina Colada Pops
- 1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Pina Colada Flavor Gelatin
- 1/4 cup light rum
- ice cubes
- Drain pineapple, reserving the juice.
- Meanwhile, stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min.
- until completely dissolved.
- Stir in rum.
- Add enough ice cubes to reserved pineapple juice to measure 3/4 cup; stir until slightly thickened.
- Remove any unmelted ice.
- Refrigerate 15 min.
- or until slightly thickened.
- Stir in pineapple.
- Pour evenly into six 5-oz.
- paper or plastic cups.
- Freeze 1 hour.
- Insert wooden pop stick into center of each cup.
- Freeze an additional 3 hours or until pops are firm.
- Remove from freezer about 5 min.
- before serving; let stand at room temperature to soften slightly.
- Peel off paper cups just before serving.
- Store leftovers in freezer.
