Cinnamon Date Cake
- 125 grams Soft Margarine/ butter
- 125 grams Brown sugar
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 225 grams Self- raising flour, sieved
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 75 ml Milk
- 125 grams Chopped Dates
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 c/ 350 F/ Gas Mark 4
- Grease and line the cake tin you are going to use.
- Cream the margarine/butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Gradually add the beaten egg to the mixture
- Fold and sieve the flour, cinnamon and the milk and dates and mix thoroughly
- Put the batter in the tin and place in the oven for 1h to1h and 1/4
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the tin
