Potato Patties
- 3 potatoes
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp garam masala (optional)
- 1 oil - to deep fry
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 small piece of ginger
- Peel and slice potatoes.Boil them until cooked through.
- Mash the potatoes and set aside.
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, oregano, salt, paprika and if using, garam masala.
- In a blender, blend yogurt with ginger and garlic.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- In a pan, heat the olive oil and add in the mashed potatoes.
- Pour in yogurt mixture and stir well.
- Add in the flour mixture and stir to combine.
- It will be kind of doughy, but still very soft.
- Take off heat and let cool for a while.
- Stir in shredded cheese.
- Roll small balls of the mixture and flatten to make patties.
- Fry the patties in hot oil until golden brown.
- Place on paper towels to soak excess oil.
- Enjoy!
