Banana Pineapple Kabobs Recipe

  1. Slit vanilla bean lengthwise & scrape out sticky black seeds.
  2. Place seeds & pod in small heavy bottomed pot along with remaining ingredients except fruit.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat & simmer for 2 to 3 min.
  5. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. If glaze hardens, reheat before using.
  8. Prepare grill.
  9. Peel bananas; peel & core pineapple.
  10. Cut into bite-sized pcs.
  11. Alternate bananas & pineapple on skewers.
  12. Place skewers on warm grill & cook 5 - 10 min, turning once.
  13. When warm, baste with glaze, two or possibly three times.
  14. Turn & baste again.
