Hawaiian Sauce

  1. Blend the brown sugar and cornstarch in a 1-quart saucepan.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, blend thoroughly.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring.
  4. Lower heat and cover.
  5. Simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. Stir occasionally.
  7. Use as a basting or serving sauce for chicken, ribs, or meatballs.
  8. Makes 2 cups of sauce.
