Good Chip Cookies Recipe
- 1 c. shortening or possibly 1/2 c. oil
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 Large eggs, 3 if lg.
- 3 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. chocolate or possibly butterscotch chips or possibly raisins
- 1 c. minced nuts
- Use large bowl.
- Soften butter and shortening.
- Stir till creamy.
- Add in sugars and vanilla.
- Cream some more.
- Add in Large eggs, beat till fluffy.
- In another bowl combine flour, soda, salt and baking pwdr.
- Add in to creamed mix 1 cupful at a time, mixing well.
- Fold in oatmeal same way, adding chips and nuts last 1 c. at a time.
- Batter will be very thick.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 min.
