Brunswick Stew

  1. Cook bacon until fat is rendered.
  2. Remove the bacon bits and set side.
  3. Dredge the meat in flour seasoned with the salt, pepper and cayenne.
  4. Brown the meat in the bacon grease with the onions.
  5. Add 1 1/2 cups boiling water, tomatoes, bell pepper and meat to crockpot.
  6. Cover and cook on low 4-8 hours or according to your pot!
  7. Add all other ingredients, including bacon.
  8. Cover and cook on high 25-30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
