Bittersweet Chocolate Creme Brulee With Caramelized Bananas Recipe
- 12 c. +2 Tbles Lowfat milk
- 3/4 x Vup Heavy Cream
- 3 1/2 ounce Bittersweet Chocolate, Minced/Small Pcs
- 5 lrg Egg Yolks
- 1/3 c. +1/2 Tables. Sugar
- 2 x Bananas
- 1/3 c. +1/2 Tables. Light Brown Sugar
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, bring the lowfat milk and cream, mixed together, to a boil.
- Add in the minced chocolate to the cream-and-lowfat milk mix; set aside for 5 min.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with the granulated sugar.
- While whipping the egg mix, pour in the chocolate mix.
- Let cold.
- Fill 6 ungreased 4 oz ramekins with equal amounts of of the chocolate brulee mix.
- Poach in a water bath in the oven for 50-60 min, or possibly till set.
- Transfer ramekins to a baking sheet and let cold.
- Decorate the top of each with 5 or possibly 6 slices of bananas.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and broil the creme brulees under the broiler till the sugar melts and turns a golden brown color.
