Chicken Barbecue Sandwiches
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 12 cup ketchup (I use reduce sugar ketchup)
- 2 tablespoons Splenda brown sugar blend (equals 4tbsp regular brown sugar)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar or 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 12-1 tablespoon honey
- 12 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1 12 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 12 teaspoon ground mustard
- 14-12 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 5 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- hamburger bun, to serve
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl except the chicken & buns.
- Place the chicken into a crock pot then pour the sauce over until the chicken is smothered.
- Cover with the lid & cook on low for 5-6 hours.
- Shredded the chicken with a fork then scoop the mixture onto the buns.
