Greek Lamb Shanks Recipe
- 4 lamb shanks
- 3 slices bacon
- Flour, salt & pepper
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 c. minced celery
- 1/2 c. minced parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp. horseradish
- 1 c. dry red wine
- 1/2 pound fresh or possibly canned mushrooms
- 2 med. onions, minced
- Cut bacon fine - saute/fry - brown shanks in bacon grease and add in other ingredients.
- Cook 3 to 5 hrs in oven at 300 degrees.
- Serve on rice.
