Knakworst with Leeks

  1. Remove the ugly leaves and roots from leeks.
  2. Slice diagonally into 2 cm pieces; wash and drain.
  3. Slice the knakworstjes into 3 cm pieces.
  4. Melt butter in a frying pan.
  5. Add onion and cook about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in leeks, ginger, cook about 1 minute.
  7. Stir in knakworstjes; cook about 2 minutes.
  8. Stir in apple juice and vinegar, cover, and cook about 5 minutes, until leeks and knakworstjes are cooked.
  9. Divide over two plates.
