Roasted Garlic Hummus
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) High Quality Garbanzo Beans (a.k.a. Chickpeas), Drained (See Note)
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Tahini (You Can Find This Almost Everywhere Now - Even At Walmart)
- 1/2 heads Roasted Garlic* (See Note)
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cummin
- 1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 cups (Up To 1/3 Cups) Olive Oil
- Its sooo simple.
- In a blender or food processor, puree all of the above ingredients.
- If you want the hummus really creamy, blend longer and add more olive oil.
- * Note about the garbanzo beans: The quality of the beans really makes a difference.
- Ive made this a few times with a can of generic garbanzo beans and the hummus tends to turn out grainier.
- With a can of higher quality beans, the hummus is smooth and creamy.
- * Note: To roast the garlic, slice a head of garlic in half, then douse it with olive oil.
- Wrap it in foil and roast at 350 F for 45 minutes.
