Old Fashioned Cornbread
- 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
- 34 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 cups cornmeal
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 12 cups buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Stir in cornmeal.
- Combine eggs.
- buttermilk and melted butter.
- Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring only until smooth.
- Turn into well greased 8 x 8 inch pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
