Shrimp Alfredo
- 2 lb Shrimp
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/4 cup Onion, finely minced
- 5 clove Garlic, finely minced
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 2 clove Garlic, finely minced
- 2 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 bunch Fresh italian parsley, minced
- In deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and saute until garlic begins to soften, about 3 minutes.
- Add onion and shrimp.
- Season to taste with white pepper, basil, and oregano.
- Cook ( turning heat up to medium high) until shrimp turn opaque, set aside.
- Melt butter in large metal or glass sauce pan (if using wire whisk, if using coated whisk, you can use a non-stick pan) add other garlic
- Slowly stir on whipping cream, turning heat up to medium
- Stir occasionally until mixture becomes bubbly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 8 min
- Turn heat back up to med/med-high and begin whisking in cheese.
- Whisk furiously until cheese is completely melted
- remove cheese mixture from heat and add parsley.
- Pour sauce into shrimp, toss thoroughly
- Serve over your favorite cooked pasta that u were smart enough to cook while everything else was happening :)
- Garnish with any remaining parmesan and parsley
