My Family's Spaghetti Salad
- 1 medium onion (coarsely chopped)
- 4 -5 celery ribs (coarsely chopped)
- 1 green pepper (coarsely chopped)
- 1 red pepper (coarsely chopped)
- 1 cup carrot (shredded)
- 8 ounces black olives (sliced, if desired)
- 1 (8 ounce) package colby cheese, I personally use Mild Cheddar instead (cubed)
- 2 lbs cooked spaghetti
- 1 12 cups sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 2 cups Miracle Whip
- The above ingredients may be adjusted to your liking.
- Add more of what you like and less of what you don't.
- Feel free to be creative and add other vegetables such as radishes or green onion, etc.
- For a different variety, try using tri-colored spiral noodles.
- It is easier to eat, too.
- Mix the above ingredients together in a large bowl.
- It makes a lot.
- You may want to half this recipe.
- DRESSING: Blend together 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 1 cup evaporated milk, 1 cup cider vinegar and 2 cups Miracle Whip dressing until smooth.
- Stir dressing into salad and chill.
- Cook times vary.
- Just have to chop the veggies and cook the noodles until soft.
- eg-may 2002.
