Ambrosia's Famous Christmas Cake Recipe

  1. Mix fruit with 2 c. flour mix.
  2. Heat oven to 275 degrees.
  3. line with wax paper and grease 6 loaf pans 8" x 4 1/2" X 2 1/2" deep.
  4. Beat butter and brown sugar till fluffy.
  5. Fold in egg yolks.
  6. Then fold in alternately just till smooth remaining flour mix, juice and molasses.
  7. Turn into a large container and stir in fruit mix by hand.
  8. beat egg whites till soft peaks are formed and mix in to mix.
  9. Bake for approximately 2 hrs.
  10. yields 6 loaves Wrap well in foil.
  11. Can add in brandy or possibly rum at intervals.
  12. Decorations: Pineapple rings, maraschino cherries,pecans and or possibly walnut halves marzipan, etc....
