Slice 'n Bake Brownie Rounds
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1 cup real semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted, cooled
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup mini real semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup large grain sugar, if desired
- Combine sugar and butter in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed until creamy.
- Add melted chocolate chips, egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; beat at low speed until well mixed.
- Stir in mini chocolate chips.
- Divide dough in half; shape each half into 7-inch log.
- Wrap each in plastic food wrap; refrigerate 1-2 hours or until firm.
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Cut logs into 3/8-inch slices with sharp knife.
- Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Sprinkle cookies with large grain sugar, if desired.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until set.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.
