Brown Sugar & Kinako (Roasted Soy Flour) Plain Bread Rolls
- 200 grams Bread flour
- 40 grams Cake flour
- 18 grams Kinako
- 30 grams Butter
- 30 grams Brown sugar
- 4 grams Salt
- 4 grams Instant dry yeast
- 170 grams Milk
- Put all the ingredients into a bread maker, and wait until the 1st rising is finished.
- (Or, you can knead it by hand.)
- When the dough is ready, place on a surface dusted with flour, and gently press the air out.
- Divide into 8 portions, roll into balls, and let them rest for 15 minutes.
- Form into shapes: Flatten each ball with a rolling pin, and fold the top and bottom flaps to meet in the middle.
- Fold it in the middle, and close the seam completely.
- Place the rolls seam-down on a pan, and allow them to rise (2nd rising) until they are 1.5 to 2 times their original size.
- Mine took 30 minutes at 40C.
- Bake for 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 200C.
