Breakfast Energy Bars
- 6 cups cereal, multi-grain puffed
- 1/2 cup raisins, seedless or dried blueberries
- 1/2 cup cranberries, dried or dried cherries
- 1/4 cup apricots, dried chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 cup almond butter or you can use creamy peanut butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- Stir together cereal, dried fruits and cinnamon in large bowl.
- Put syrup, almond butter and butter in a small sauce pan, heat until butter is melted, the mixture becomes liquidy.
- Then pour into cereal mixture.
- Stir to coat well.
- Wet hands with cold water.
- Press cereal mixture firmly into 13*9-inch square baking pan, wet hands if necessary to keep mixture from sticking.
- Freeze 30 minutes.
- Cut into 12 bars, and store in refrigerator or freezer.
