Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
- 2 dozen Fresh jalapenos
- 16 oz Cream cheese
- 4 cup Mild cheddar cheese
- 24 slice Bacon
- 1 1/2 cup Preserves (Flavor optional)
- Preheat oven to 450F
- Slice jalapenos in half and remove seeds.
- Mix cheddar and cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl
- Slice bacon in half
- Fill jalapenos with cheese mixture
- Wrap jalapeno with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick
- Place on a foil covered bacon sheet and bake in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes or until bacon is crispy
- Move preserves to microwaveable safe bowl and heat for 15 - 30 seconds, stirring occasionally until liquified
- Remove the poppers from the oven and brush preserve on top
- Return to oven and bake for 5 - 10 minutes, until preserve caramelizes
- Remove from oven, let cool, and serve
