Sausage Pasta Thing
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb mild sausage
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 2 12 cups chicken broth
- 18 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 lb broccoli floret
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 12 cups finely grated parmesan cheese
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- Cook pasta according to package.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan over medium heat, heat the oil.
- Add sausage, crumbling and cooking until browned.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Add the broth and red pepper and bring to a boil.
- Add the broccoli, cover, and cook until tender (do not overcook, or you'll end up with mush).
- Stir in the butter and cheese then cook until the sauce thickens a little (2 minutes or so).
- Add it to the drained pasta, mix, season with salt/pepper.
- Eat!
