Fool proof steak
- 1 steak
- 1 kosher salt
- 1 garlic powder
- 1 pepper
- Heavily salt steak on one side with kosher salt flip over onto plate and heavily salt other side.
- Use so much salt it looks like it is breaded.
- Sit steak on plate on counter top for 45 minutes to an hour.
- Do not let salt sit on the steak longer than 60 minutes.
- I usually do 45 minutes.
- Rinse off salt with water.
- Rinse really well.
- Dry steak with a paper towel really well.
- Season with garlic powder and pepper.
- Do not use any seasonings with salt!
- Place steak on hot grill and cook until done to preference, turning once.
- For medium well I cook about 8 minutes each side.
