Stuffed Philly Cheeseburger (YUM)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 2 cups chopped mushrooms
- 12 teaspoon dried thyme
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 lbs beef
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 crusty rolls
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 1 tomatoes, sliced
- filling: melt butter in skillet add onion cook 4min add mushrooms, thyme, and salt cook until liquid evaporates cool Burgers: divide meat into 8 portions shape into 3 1/2" patties spoon quarter filling in center and spreand leaving 1/2" border top with another patty and pinch together.
- Flatten.
- cover and chill in freezer 15minutes season sides with salt and pepper grill 6-8 minutes per side top with cheese during last 4 minutes grill rolls.
- 2min serve burgers on rolls with lettuce and tomato.
