Shrimp Ring
- 2 envelopes plain gelatin
- 2 small cans broken shrimp
- 3 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. finely chopped celery
- 3/4 c. finely chopped onions
- 1 can tomato soup (undiluted)
- Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water.
- Let stand while bringing soup to a boil.
- Add cream cheese to soup and stir to dissolve.
- Stir in gelatin (will be firming up by now).
- Let cool for about 5 minutes.
- Add all ingredients except shrimp.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Let stand in refrigerator for another 5 minutes.
- Add broken shrimp and pour into well-oiled mold. (Plastic or Tupperware molds may not need to be oiled.)
- Tastes best if made the day before and allowed to season through.
- Serve on Wheatsworth crackers and enjoy!!!
