Sausage Stuffing Pie Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Prepare pie shells as directed for double crust pie.
  3. In a large skillet, cook sausage and onion till pink color has disappeared from sausage.
  4. Drain.
  5. Combine sausage mix with applesauce, bread crumbs and sage.
  6. Spoon mix in bottom of pie crust.
  7. Cover with top crust.
  8. Seal edges, cut several slits in top crust.
  9. Bake on a preheated cookie sheet 40 to 45 min or possibly till crust is brown.
  10. Serves 6 to 8.
