Mother's Asparagus Casserole Recipe
- 1 can asparagus (Green Giant)
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 4 tbsp. self-rising flour
- 1 c. grated sharp cheese
- 2 tbsp. pimiento
- 1/4 c. minced pecans
- Bread crumbs
- Heat butter in saucepan.
- Stir in flour.
- Add in lowfat milk and stir till thick.
- Add in cheese and pimiento.
- Place asparagus in casserole dish and pour sauce over top.
- Sprinkle with nuts and cover with bread crumbs.
- Delicious!
