Papa Hoban's Sloppy Joes
- olive oil
- 450 g minced beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) canof campbells cream of tomato soup
- 4 drops Tabasco sauce
- 1 beef stock cube
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- plain flour
- 8 -12 white hamburger buns
- Heat oil in pan.
- Fry off beef and onions in a pan.
- Drain the beef and onions - return to stove.
- Crumble in stock cube, stir in to beef.
- Add tomato soup (remember condensed makes double!
- ); stir.
- Now drip in Tabasco sauce one drip at a time.
- tasting all the while.
- add until you think it is hot enough for you and your family.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Then add a teaspoon of flour to absorb any fat that may have still come out the beef.
- Finally scoop into the hamburger buns, and enjoy!
- NB: This recipe is really good if you add about 350g of pasta into the sauce and leave out the hamburger buns.
