Apple Pie
- 2 can Apple Pie Filling
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp margarine
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 tbsp cold water
- 1/4 margarine
- In a small saucepan on low heat combine the apple pie filling, cinnamon, sugar and 2 tbsp margarine.
- In a mixing bowl combine 1/4 c. Margarine, 1/4 c. Butter and 1/2 c. Shortening until blended evenly
- Mix in flour an water 1 tbsp at a time (do not over knead)
- Split dough into 2 portions and roll flat.
- Using shortening to grease the pie dish lay the first crust in the dish.
- Once the apples are tender pour the filling into bottom pie crust
- Using a pizza cutter or knife cut strips in the second pie crust and lay them on top to create the lattice look.
- Sprinkle the top with butter, cinnamon, and sugar and bake at 450 for 40-45 minutes.
