Festive Cheese Dip
- 1.5 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese (12 ounces total)
- 6 ounces crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 tablespoons candied cherries, finely chopped
- 2 12 ounces water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 1 cup mixed nuts, finely chopped (I use a mixture of hazelnuts, pistachios, and pecans)
- 12 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon dried onion
- 1 tablespoon seasoning salt (I use McCormick's Season-All)
- blend ingredients well.
- cover and chill overnight (I find that this recipe lends itself to be more of a dip rather than a ball, so I prefer to just keep it in a bowl rather than try to force it into a ball-type shape).
- serve with crackers or crudites.
