Farina Delight
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. farina (cream of wheat)
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 egg whites
- 1 pt. whipped heavy cream
- maraschino cherries
- Beat egg yolks until light and gradually add next 6 ingredients.
- Beat the 6 egg whites until stiff and fold into first mixture.
- Place batter in greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 40 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Take from oven while hot (it will look like it flopped).
- Break up into pieces in a bowl.
- When cold, place pieces on a large cake plate alternating with layers of whipped cream. Form into a mound shape and cover with whipped cream.
- Decorate with cherry halves.
- Place in refrigerator 1 to 2 hours before serving.
