Kabocha Squash Scones Made with Pancake Mix

  1. Boil or microwave the kabocha squash, and mash.
  2. Add the pancake mix, and mix well.
  3. When the dough comes together without being sticky, it's ready.
  4. (If it's sticky, add more pancake mix.
  5. If it's floury and doesn't come together, add a few drops of water.)
  6. Divide into 4 portions, and roll into balls.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes at 180C.
  8. The scones turned out more authentic when I used a banana.
  9. The kabocha squash scones were more moist.
