Mary'S Tortilla Chicken
- 3 whole chicken breasts
- 1 can chili con carne (no beans)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (7 oz.) can Ortega green chile salsa
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth
- 1 pkg. corn tortillas
- 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 lb. Jack cheese, grated
- Boil chicken breasts or bake with skin side up.
- Bone and cube breasts into a large 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Layer with corn tortillas cut into 4 strips.
- Combine next 6 ingredients and pour over chicken and tortilla strips.
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 minutes, covered.
- Then finish, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
- Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
