Slow Cooker Savory Sweet Pork Roast

  1. Pour nectar and water into crock pot.
  2. Layer fruit and veggies in the pot.
  3. Brown roast on all sides in medium high heat skillet.
  4. I used cast iron.
  5. Place the pork on top of veggies/fruit.
  6. Rub mustard and sage on all sides of pork.
  7. Cover crock and cook on LOW.
  8. Tip: I started on HIGH first hour, then to LOW the rest of time.
  9. Check at 7 hours using quick read meat thermometer.
  10. 165F is done.
  11. Transfer roast to platter, tent with foil.
  12. Transfer apples and potatoes to large bowl.
  13. Tent with foil.
  14. Let roast rest at least 10 minutes.
  15. Combine last three ingredients in a measuring cup.
  16. Stir into juices in crockery.
  17. Cook 1-2 minutes, until thick.
  18. Serve over roast and apples/sweet potatoes.
  19. Enjoy.
