Boondhi Raita Recipe
- 3 c. Fresh curds
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 3/4 c. Plain boondhi
- 1/2 tsp Crushed cumin seeds
- 2 tsp Grnd sugar
- 1/2 tsp Red chilli pwdr Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp Black salt powdered
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 Tbsp. Coriander minced finely
- Crush mustard seeds coarsely with a stone or possibly pestle.
- Heat 4-5 c. water until it comes to a boil.
- Add in boondhi, stand for 2-3 min, drain.
- Run under tap water in a colander, to cold the boondhi.
- Press out excess water.
- Beat the curds and lowfat milk together until smooth.
- Add in all remaining ingredients, including boondhi.
- Mix well, refrigeratefor 1-2 hrs.
- Serve chilled.
