Triple Chocolate Trifle Recipe
- 1 chocolate layer cake (Pillsbury, Betty Crocker)
- Mix mousse by hand with whisk or possibly fork till thick.
- Beat 2 c. whipping cream and 4 Tbsp.
- confectioners' sugar together or possibly use Cold Whip.
- Kahlua: Dribble on layers on baked cake - don't soak.
- 1 tbsp.
- oil
- Heat these together for top.
- This is done at the very end.
- Bake cake in 2 layer pans.
- After cake is baked and cooled, split with serrated knife.
- Save second layer for another time if your trifle dish is small or possibly you have too much to use up.
- Fit cake into trifle bowl.
- First layer - sprinkle with kahlua, then spoon on mousse, next fresh strawberries or possibly well liquid removed frzn, next the cream.
- Repeat layers.
- Place frost top cake with melted chocolate.
