Spritz Cookies

  1. Cream butter and shortening until soft
  2. Add sugar gradually and continue to cream for approx 5 minutes until light and fluffy
  3. Add egg and vanilla; beat well
  4. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together, slowly add to mixture; mix well after each addition, dough will be stiff
  5. Shape dough into 2 rolls, wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for 1 hour
  6. Fill gun and make cookies, decorate as desired
  7. Bake at 375 for approx 7-8 minutes or until just starting to turn light golden around the edges.
  8. Do not overbake
