Atar Allecha

  1. Soak peas for one hour.
  2. Cook for 1/2 hour.
  3. Drain.
  4. Mash.
  5. Set aside.
  6. In dry pan over moderate low heat, stir fry the onion and garlic for 2 mins.
  7. Add oil and stir fry one minute more.
  8. Add the mashed peas, tumeric, salt, and chili.
  9. Mix well.
  10. Add the water and cook 3 to 4 minutes longer to reduce the mixture to a thick, green, well spiced puree.
  11. Serve with warm Injeera.
