Tomato Gravy Recipe
- 2 fresh tomatoes, diced
- 1 tbsp. bacon drippings
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 c. cool water
- 1/2 c. flour
- Combine tomatoes, bacon drippings and salt in skillet and cook, covered over medium heat till tomatoes are soft.
- Pulverize with a fork and let cook another 3 min.
- Meanwhile, combine cool water and flour in a shake, cover and shake vigorously; pour over tomatoes, stirring constantly till thick.
- If thinner gravy is desired, add in more water.
- Serve over warm biscuit halves.
- Serves 6.
