Michael's Apple Fritters Recipe
- 2 lg. apples
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk (sufficient to make thick pancake batter)
- Powdered sugar or possibly cinnamon sugar
- 1 1/2 c. biscuit mix
- 1 egg, beaten
- Slice into rings cored and peeled apples 1/8 inch thick.
- Make batter by adding sugar, egg, and lowfat milk to biscuit mix.
- In skillet heat oil to deep fry temperature.
- Dip apple rings into batter.
- Use 2 forks to dip in warm oil.
- Cook 3 or possibly 4 at a time.
- Turn over when golden brown.
- (Check often as they cook fast).
- Drain on paper towel.
- Dust with cinnamon sugar or possibly powdered sugar.
