Garlic Dip - Greek Style
- 1/2 cup olive oil, extra-virgin
- 1/4 cup white vinegar may need a little more
- 3 cup oyster crackers One box from Trader Joe's
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt more or less to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper a little more or less to taste
- 4 cloves garlic minced, or more or less depending on how much garlic you prefer
- Use a heavy duty bleander or food processor.
- Finely chop cloves of garlic
- Slowly add olive oil, mixture will appear to be emulsified.
- Slowly add vinegar.
- (Mixture will be thick, you may add a little water to thin)
- Add the crackers to the mixture about a cup at a time.
- Finished amount will be the consistancy of sour cream, you may choose to add a little water to make the dip a little thinner.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Store in glass or plastic overnight.
- If you like garlic, you will love this!
- Can be used for crackers, pretzels, pita chips, or vegetables.
- We continue to use it on everything.
- My husband spread it on steaks before grilling them.
