Shrimp with Spicy Tomato Sauce
- 2 lb. medium shrimp (31 to 35 count), cleaned
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing
- 1 large onion, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 jar (4 oz.) chopped pimentos, undrained
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1-1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- Cook and stir shrimp in dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 2 min.
- Stir in onions, peppers and garlic.
- Cook 5 min.
- or until shrimp turn pink and onions are tender, stirring frequently.
- Add tomato sauce, wine, parsley, pimentos with their liquid, the vinegar, hot pepper sauce and black pepper; stir.
- Cover.
- Reduce heat to low; simmer 15 min.
- Serve over hot cooked white rice, if desired.
